Chapter: You Know What They Say About Chaos
Location: Cypress City, The Crown and Cannon
Going for a pint was a worthwhile venture!
I have often found when I get away from my work and take a break from being in my office, something comes up that informs my work or enhances something that I am working on. Discussion and sharing my stories with my peoples always brings something out.
Oooooo… was the Dad’s name Timmy? My son Tim and I have discovered that anyone named Tim/Timmy will have lousy things happen to them, BUT it also guarantees they’ll never die.
Timmy from Lassie…
Timmy from A Christmas Carol…
it goes on and on.
Nice observation. Worthy of more research.
Whether it informs your work or just gets you out with people, going for a pint is always a good idea.
Pete…I have a brother Timmy…always in danger, even wounded, but still walking round.
Even missing fingers!
Going for SOMETHING … cider, g&t, absinthe, greyhound…
Dogs: Man’s most loyal and staunch ally in history. Often used as an insult. Lions: deplorable scavengers often willing to let their offspring starve. Considered a symbol of courage and honor. Can someone PLEASE explain to me why this is a thing!? Seriously, dogs are awesome. And on another note, getting out and talking to your friends does seem to periodically bring up stuff that proves helpful, doesn’t it? I work in antiquities and I can’t count the number of times someone mentioning some old neighbor has led me to digging up something very valuable and getting the family some much needed funds.
Amendment: I workED in antiquities. Past tense. Stupid auto-correct. You miss one ‘e’……
S’okay.
Yes, dogs are quite the loyal bunch. I miss my Mocha… she was goofy, loyal, loved getting brushed, sloppy at the water bowl, hated riding in the car, loved going for walks… and one heck of a pal.
The Irish have it right. They go to the pub and they talk and listen to music. Who needs therapy there on the Emerald Isle?!
