Off to get some joe… so off Randie goes.
You may notice that this comic is a bit different. That’s because I created this page solely on the iPad. The only thing I couldn’t do was convert it to jpegs and upload them to the website; I still have to do that on the laptop. ANYhoo… from now on… all the new toons will be made on the iPad.
Change is good right?
THAT’S why I take a full mug of coffee with me to the coffee shop!
😀
No… I really do.
uh… okay… as long as that works for you.
On a recent trip to Cleveland, I had to wait 30 minutes for coffee. It made me thankful for the coffee I make at home.
I do like my home brew. French pressing my joe does give me the happies… no line… I do hate it, however, when I forget to clean the coffee pot from the previous day… makes for a yucky extra step first thing in the morn.
Brig, the new style is awesome!!!! Looks so light and airy, less forced, more…YOU!
aw… thanks… it presents new possibilities and new challenges… glad you like.
I remember when it was quick to get coffee! You know, long before the specialization of each drink. I’m always in line behind someone getting a “grande caramel swirl pumpkin spiced half latte full petite dunk humane cow scalded cream with a conditioner rinse” and I go “large coffee room for cream”. I really had to laugh at today’s comic! Thanks!
hahah… yes, there’s always the super Personalized drink. I go for half-caff Americanos with room… a little bit more work for the espresso maker… but that’s how it is.
Glad you liked today’s page.
Next time make it at home, where there are no lines—and it’s cheaper.
Shorter lines, for sure, but then you have to scrape the coffee grounds from the French Press… the daily grind.
I used to have a roomie that would wait 20 minutes in line on average for a coffee. She would work out of the coffee shop (her job was fortunately one she could do from anywhere on a laptop). She’d some days get 10 or more coffees. When you crunch the numbers, That means she generally spent around 3 and a half hours writing on her laptop while standing in line waiting for her coffee. She always insisted it was great coffee there. I hope she was right because geez.
Wow… that’s uh… dedication. I can see if you REALLY like the vibe. After all, coffeehouses are more than just the coffee, it’s the decor, the furniture, the vibe. But there’s a coffeehouse near us that has great hangout ability…a library of books to look at… cool people coming and going… but the WORST coffee I’ve ever had! so… no go there.
Out here we have WAWA convenience stores. Their coffee is always fresh, service is always quick, and there are always 6 or more varieties.
And they have free coffee days, with no limit to the amount of free coffee you can have. You don’t even have to “pay” for it by going to the cash register; you simply lift it up to the clerk as you walk out.
It’s like coffee heaven!
Pete: That’s pretty awesome!
