The truth FI-nally comes out… Randie never got her license. This was an extreme oversight on Fred’s part at Joe’s Cuppa Joe, where she was delivering coffee. I’m sure the scooter was insured, though.

007 License To Scoot ‘My Name Is Bond. Gold Bond.’
License to Scoot! hahahaha!
One of our local community advertising papers runs a looooong column of police reports every week. I am always amazed at how many people with warrants out for their arrest, or drugs in their possession, or no insurance get stopped for speeding 55 in a 35 zone, or other stupid, preventable reasons.
If I were doing something illegal, I would be the best, most law-abiding driver on the road.
I read those reports for my weekly affirmation that I’m not the dumbest person around!
(Besides, I drive a hearse… Every LEO in my county knows where I live! I can’t get away with anything.)
Will Randie’s driving get worse once she’s legal?
It’s sort of the same where I live. Gang members are always being pulled over for a driving infraction and they find guns or drugs or something in the car. But maybe it’s a case of Good Kirk/Bad Kirk… Bad Kirk cannot fake being good… no matter how hard he tries.
A friend and coworker bought a motorcycle and needed someone to drive him to the DMV to take the driving test. The officer rode with me and we followed my friend through the driving test. The young girl that took the test before my friend listened to the officer (one honk for right, two for left) and when they started off, she took off and outran the car with the officer. When she returned to the DMV, and the car and officer caught up with her, she couldn’t understand why she’d failed the test.
Seems a tad counter-productive, don’t it? No more motorcycling for YOU, bad driver person.
Oops… I called it. Sorry, Brig. I gotta stop doing that.
Poor Randie… now she’s going to… NO! NO! I said I was going to stop doing that!
But we can count on Ryan! He’s one of the sweetest guys in all online comics.
No no… if you follow the comics, you KNOW that she never got her license.
And Ryan is a very concerned, make stuff happen type of guy. I like that you’ve given him the title of “sweetest guy…”
What did she use when they wanted photo ID?
As I recall, she looked up how much such a license would cost…and the amount elicited a startled exclamation. (One I could entirely understand, considering my financial situation at the time.)
“Have wheels, will park!” “Born to sit still!” “Zero to Zero in no time flat!”
Hmmmm…… no, not really all that catchy. Definitely time to get the license! Good thing she’s a good enough driver not to have been dinged so far….. but I sympathize, I still don’t have a license of any sort. I’m phobic of driving.
