Chapter: You Know What They Say About Chaos
Location: Cypress City, the apartment
Rain, rain… go away… or bring the Magic Vespid my way!
Rain, rain… go away… or bring the Magic Vespid my way!
I LOVE that first frame!! Can you say Hitchcock-ian close-up? We Californians have gotten un-used to wet, that’s for sure. Poor Randie. Sweet Spill.
Randie needs to get her some wheels! Only thing is, Vespids are exposed to the elements! So even if she had wheels… she’d still be out in the wet stuff! Poor Randie, indeed! BUT Spill is a sweetie.
The greatest blessing in the world is a friend with free time when you need them. Even better if they’re looking to pick up coffee AND you! I have a friend who believes sometimes nature makes a day harder just to remind you of who your friends are.
Well said, Trev. Spill is a pretty good friend, I’d say.
All friends have magic in them. Some more than others, but they all have it.
Agreed. Connectivity. Some pals have great connectivity and some don’t. Some friends are, for whatever reason, around more. Some less. But whatever spark that drew us towards someone (and them to us) remains.
Am I mistaken or is your art morphing towards your old style? It seems to be cleaner than it was right after you switched. Maybe it’s just me, but I like it.
I find myself battling my hand at times… It is not you. I have to, at times, force my hand to not fall back into a style I did for 8 years… the brain (and hand) are funny things.
I understand the pull to go backward. I made the horrendous mistake of trying to upgrade my style, only to have it explode in my face after a year and a half (still trying to fix that egregious error). I decided to go back to what I know, and what is comfortable, that way I can experiment with page layout, story ideas, etc.
