As an artist, to really SEE something, I have to draw it. I have to absorb it through a sketch or some creative manifestation.
Here’s some of Randie’s sketch books from Squid Row…

That’s going to make for an AWESOME travel blog! Rest ‘n Relax with Randie ‘n Ryan, or “R&R with R&R”
On my Patreon page, I say get a little R&R with Randie and Ryan… So yah… and the travel blog could be most excite-able.
Pete,
Inverting the order of your phrases (Randie ‘n Ryan’s Rest ‘n Relax) would simplify the acronym to R&Rx2.
Yes, this would be nice … good turn-phrasing, fellas… but Randie would use her version of the word “relaxing”…. “relaxinating”…. yah?
Once again, REALLY loving the “art theme” in the pages. That’s thinking outside of the webcomics box!
THanks, Dada… I appreciate the feedback… and who doesn’t love a good not-at-all-random Splootch here and there?
Having chatted with a friend who travels pretty much for a living, I’ve been informed that Nepenthe is a definite must-stop location. I’ve also recently learned the word ‘nepenthe’ is the name for an anti-depressent or a drug to help ‘forget sorrow’, which has been mentioned in ancient greek writings.
Seems pretty well named from what I hear.
Yes, Nepenthe has such an interesting and storied past… For only being around since the 50’s (ish). I don’t think you can really say that you’ve been to Big Sur if you haven’t been to Nepenthe, the house of no sorrow.
That cat looks suspiciously like Twinkie, but is the wrong color. Has the devil cat had a dye job?
Perhaps he has a cousin who lives in Big Sur… from what I have read, this fella isn’t a devil at all.
