Yeah, there is no ‘or’ when it comes to pie. My first round of pie usually consists of: pumpkin, apple, lemon, pecan, and blackberry.
Wow… that is a heck of a round one! I had pumpkin, avocado pie, and cheesecake!
My aunts and grandma, when they put together a spread, usually included five or six different desserts…not counting the ice cream. A wit of an uncle, when asked what he wanted out of these, once answered “Yes”, and got a piece of everything. Including ice cream.
Ever since then, taking a bit of all the desserts has been referred to, in our family, as a ‘Yes’…and yes, we still serve at least three pies at our gatherings!
And mmmm, whipped cream. The icing perfect for any cake, or pie…or ice cream…or anything…
I do love the whipped topping… so delish… and pie is the total best… your uncle got it right!

Up here north of the border we have Thanksgiving in October, so I’ve already had quite a fill of pumpkin. And I still have enough stuff for a couple more….. now if only I could bake!
Yes, you go straight from Halloween right into CHRISTMAS. I likes me pumpkin with pumpkin pie spice… out of the can and into a saucepan… lots of cinnamon! You could crush up graham crackers and sprinkle on top?
I think it would depend on how it tasted.
I wouldn’t mix the two together… side by side situation with the whipped cream… mmm.
We had 4 pies at my daughter’s spread, but I only had room for the apple, cherry cheesecake, and the peanut butter ones.

I could never get into pumpkin pie. I’m more of a sweet potato kinda guy.
