This comic feels a little deja vu. Upon deciding to do this new format, starting the new site, and then stopping Squid Row… there was this space of time where I felt I was sitting on my duff. It was a period of about one week. I think I needed that little mini vacation… without the going somewhere part.
ps. Mad(d)i(e) is my niece. She’s not old enough to play “Candy Smash.”
Here’s some Squid Row history in regards to procrastination:

Are you going to have a TWC vote link? It might help find more readers.
Oh… yes, I definitely should put Randie & Ryan up… Good suggestion! I shall get Harold right on that!
Never put off til tomorrow what you can put off til next week
Yah… I’m good at that. But now I have such the schedule that I’m finding I cannot procrastinate as often as I’d like.
“Tomorrow”, the greatest labor saving device of, “Today”.
That’s the most non-productive quote ever!
I represent that remark!
I’ve never been offended when told to, go fly a kite. I rather like that idea. Thanks, Bridget, for the mention. All smiles here.
Your response would be “Gladly!” And when the conditions are right, you would say… “Wind’s up!” (akin to surf’s up).
And thank you being my first official Patreonic patron… you rock!
The internet is the major enemy of productive creativity.
…said the cartoonist who is commenting on a website instead of finishing his comics.
tell… me… about… it! “Oh, I’ll just take A MINUTE and see what’s going on over on Facebook…”
Don’t get crushed by the Candy Crush. It sucks your time!
Gulls (Hello, Jack!)… I won’t let myself play games on the computer… I get sucked in… and I have found out (in my youth) that I’m not very good at them, they frustrate me, and they take away from my drawing time.
There is a reason I don’t bother checking facebook. I only even have it so people stop complaining they can’t find me on it. It’s amazing how a single website can derail so many people. I personally spend all my time getting derailed by books, myself, but at least people can take those away from me!
Trev… books are a nice way to get derailed. I bought a few books this weekend concerning Mr. Robert Louis Stevenson. I fell in.
See? See!? This is why I can’t be self employed.
However…This strip is looking really good. Wandering borders, energetic script, color combos and patterns that look like visual jazz.
Sweet!
