Getting mugged… by a KITTEN! Now THERE’s a story!
…And my kitten, also rescued and deposited at the county shelter, was found behind a dumpster. Mouse can be feisty, too… but far from a punk. Not a single piercing or tattoo.
Around here we don’t have a cat rescue, we just have a lot of barns for them to infest and tons of rodents for them to eat (farming area, can you tell?). And let me tell you, those critters’ll mug you in half a heartbeat for anything they think smells tasty! That said I love cats and I hate to see them in bad situations. I have issues with allergies that prevent me from getting one myself, but I’m always happy to see people who are taking care of a pet in need. Now the big question is……. do they take it in or take it to a shelter? Considering the last time Randie had a cat it was more of a furry domestic terrorist, there might be a slim objection.
I think that your description of Twinkie is spot on… “domestic terrorist.” And Randie has had issues with said cat in the past. More than her fair share, I’d say… for a non-cat-owner.
Deworming… yes. Mouse (my cat) has just had a visit to the vet… and she’ll be coming up again here for round two. As an indoor/outdoor cat with lots of raccoons, opossum, and other cats of questionable reputation, shots are imperative.
Ooooooo… a dumpster kitten. (Boy, that sounds a WHOLE lot better than ‘dumpster cat’, doesn’t it?)
We got our cat in a similar fashion. Abandoned at a construction site with his brother, Eliot fit into the palm of my hand when my wife brought him home. He lived almost 17 years and was the greatest cat ever. (And I’m a dog person.)
I have four, myself, two of which are Shelter kitties (both calico) and a third adopted from the parking lot at work (jet black). Work kitty (Little Bit) has recently discovered the joys of sitting on my lap at my computer and watching cat videos on youtube. He normally won’t stay on my lap for more than a minute or two, even for lovin’, but he’s sat rapt at the screen for 15 minutes or more!
Haha…sitcoms for kitties? And why not? It probably confuses the heck out of cats… who may ask themselves “why are those kitties inside a flat box? How do they do that?”
Didja know that Cats developed their meow to sound like a human baby on purpose, cause humans instinctively respond to that sound? We’re well trained humans.
Looks like they’re getting ready to adopt a cat.
Hi Hartri55… you wouldn’t be “into cats” would you? (wink). Smiles! … and welcome to comments!
I saw them walking down a dark alley and my first thought was that they were going to get mugged. Damn it, Joe Chill, leave comic book couples alone!
They still might be attacked, if that kitty is anything like the rescue kitten I have (found in an alleyway, grew up into a feisty little punk).

aww…
… and as Judy would say, “boodja-boodja”…
I’m sure that kitten will be a comfort for Randi when Rye Bread is off on his business trips.
Have to get its shots and deworming though. Good thing Randi has Jimmy Chow’s money coming.

I have high hopes for this threesome!
Yes… Dumpster Cat seems, I dunno… harsh.
Awwwwww… booja-booja! Eliot (as in T.S), I’m sure was a sweetie… you’ve talked about him before and with great fondness. He MUSTA been a special cat!
