Sleepy Time Kitty

Getting accustomed to one’s new situation can be hard. I’m sure that the box bed was Randie’s idea. You know there had to be some discussion as to where the kitten would sleep. But as one who was found in a large metal box, sleeping in cardboard box would hold very little appeal. Besides, Ryan seems to be Ella’s new favorite person…. and vice-versa.
lol, this is the best til they’re a 15 pound weight on your head! My girls sleep one on her own pillow next to my head and the other one likes to be pressed up against my knees, if I’m on my tummy she’s sleeping on top of the back of my knees, makes rolling over a very careful process!! The boys are usually a little more distant, on the bed but off to the furthest corners.
Heather… you bed sounds very crowded… you must have a California King (sized bed). But, I’m sure it is all working out… and none of them snore.
Wait till the cat won’t come near you any other time—except when eating.
Oh, dear… I don’t see that happening here.
On an interesting side note. So we’ve been in Sandy Eggo (last week)… (I arranged to have my excellent house sitter/cat lover come in and hang out with Mouse). When we returned from our trip… Mouse was very glad to have us home and wouldn’t leave my lap. Sadly I arranged for a vet trip for Monday… and it made Mouse even more clingy… AND on top of that, we had the whole fam-damily over last night, complete with 3 kids aged 7 to 3. Mouse was beside herself… she is shy around kids…(prefers adults) and she hid under the bar in the living room the entire night.
*lol!* I never met my wife’s dad – he died shortly before Bethlynne and I met – but she told me that the cat, Jetsy, would sleep on his head and lick his scalp. He claimed (in a joking way) that was the REAL reason he was going bald.
Look out, Ryan! 🙂
Hahahahah…. so is it politically incorrect to say that your father in law was “scalped”???? I’m sure it was kinda like a scalp massage…. very relaxing.
I just hope they got ALL the fleas during that bath!
Sadly, I could never really call him my father-in-law, since I never even met him before he died; about six weeks before I met Bethlynne in German class. She’s certain we would have gotten along great.
*heh* That’s pretty funny, by the way, with Ryan thinking the kitten was gong to sleep anywhere other than with them in their bed. Kind of reminds me of Lady & the Tramp, with John Darling thinking Lady was going to sleep in the kitchen.
Cleo used to spend lots of time perched on the top of my recliner licking my skinhead. Little Bit and Squeek now have command of the bed. Squeek used to have a bad habit of perching on my chest and kneading, kneading, kneading. One night I got tired of it and simply said “Squeek, go lay down!” in a stern voice. To my absolute astonishment, she did exactly that – turned and walked towards my feet and plopped herself down right in the crack between my legs (I usually sleep on my back). She learned it on the first crack, and to this day (several years later) will repeat on demand.
… and they say cat cannot be trained.
It’s funny, isn’t it?… the little habits that cats have.
Pure cat!!!
Yes, they have minds of their own…
My cat does this. Except he’s full grown. I have more of a grimace when he does this.
I hope your cat is… not a chub.
Our bed tends to get crowded when the gang decides to join us. The main competition are the 3 that compete to be the one under the covers between us when we turn in, with various ther areas occupiued by the rest. We have 8 cats in the house.
HOLY Bananas! That’s a wangle of cats! However, 8 is a nice number… kinda like infinity. It’s Randie’s favorite number… but she will NEVER have that many… the fact that she now has one is a bit of a miracle. The things you do for your loved one(s)…
Happiness is safety and safety is a trusted friend. The closer the better.
Nicely said.
