Excellent, kitty, activate wide-eyed-hypno-power! You’re sure to be safe now! Only the most heartless monsters are immune! There’s actually research out there that has figured ‘cuteness’ is a special evolutionary adaptation to humans. All domesticated animals go through ‘neoteny’, or keeping youthful traits, which often includes playfulness and smaller size, and in many cases younger animals are considered ‘cute’ so humans bond with them more readily. It’s a good trick in the survival toolbox.
It will be interesting to see if you plan on sharing the kitten’s thoughts with us the way you did with… that other cat. *heh* (Yeah, I remember Twinkie’s name. And after his last adventure, I have hope’s he learned something.)
But I’m fully expectful of an impressiveness of character difference with this kitty!
I think when you can see the kitty thoughts, you get a wider range of story-telling ability. However, as I’ve stuck to more of a graphic novel feel to R&R, having kitty talk to herself might feel weird … we’ll have to see what feels right. And I think it’s clear that this little one is NOT a Twinkie…
So you’ve given Randie and Ryan the gift that keeps on giving; a female kitten. If Twinkie finds out he’ll be along in a shot. Didn’t Beeb ever get him back, or is he still with Grace? Two of a kind, they are.
Well, we know that Ryan is a responsible person… Randie… well, not so much. So with Ryan at the helm, you can be sure that Kitty will be properly “taken care of.”
As far as Twinkie goes…
That will have to wait for a storyline in the future time.
Reminds me of when I brought my kitty Tripod home. She was a barn kitten at my parent’s place; scrappy little thing, but dirty and full of fleas, so the first thing on the agenda when I got her home was a good bath. It was amazing how quickly she went from scraggly little thing to perky, fluffy and adorable once she’d had a good shampoo.
Philo… Awww… you’ve made a kitten’s life better! Now the name, Tripod… I assume we are missing a leg? In any case, good on you for the adoption and flea irradiation. I hate to have to use the poison stuff on my cat every month, but I do. She is happier without the fleas. We also employ a flea come every few days or so as she loves to roll in the yard.
You’re taking on a pretty big obligation, here.
Me? or Randie and Ryan? Either way, there is newness going on with obligatedness, as well. Stay tooned.
Whoever happens to be adopting the kitten.

Most interesting. I am definitely far from a heartless monster when it comes to kittens, kitties, and cats. Their secret powers work on me, for sure!
Yeah, me too. Allergies aside, I love cats.

Nice work on the kitty.
Thank you… I wanted Kitty to be EXTRA cute!

Well, well, well! Randy has found that a cat may not be such a bad idea after all! Even after her experiences with Twinkie . . .
Look at those eyeballs! No badness could come from such a sweet face!
Panel 2: Obi Wan Kittenobi!
Ha ha… or DeathEater Kitten!
