Sounds like a normal lunch. The very reason I try to keep Cup of Noodles (plastic pasta) in my desk drawer. Other then a smidgen less salt than the Dead Sea, the stuff is pretty decent in a bind.
Yes, emergency food is always necessary at an office. I learned yesterday that a can of dolma lives at the Sidestreet Arts gallery for that very purpose… but yes, the cup of noodles definitely does the trick… (I used to skip the “flavor packet” of salty death…. and make my own.
I have a bag full of snacks I cart with me to work (as well as advil, band-aids, and other such), so I’m known as the go-to guy for snacks in case people don’t have time for lunch. I actually had to cut people off and tell them to go eat actual food for a while because people were coming to me too much! Sometimes people just get TOO busy and need to be told to stop.
Being not only in charge of the IT department, I was the entire IT department. So, yeah, I kept some “quick lunch” choices handy. In a crunch, I had a can of ravioli that I ate cold. It had SLIGHTLY more nutritional value than a candy bar.
But mostly I brown-bagged it, so lunch was pretty good, even in a rush. (And I saved a bunch o’ money.)
Yep … come prepared, eh? I tend to keep snacks on me when we go out for the in-between low blood sugar times… I have found the Trader Moe’s Hemp bars are great for staving off the “hangry”
Who’s this guy?
Yah… it’s been awhile… I think he knows Randie.
I’d rather have the Reuben. Someone please tell Ryan about delivery service!
Yes, he could have it delivered… but it would come during the meeting… and then he’d have to share.
Nobody in Portland delivers?
see the above reply.

These have the salty death integrated into the mix.

Sounds to me as if you could open up a little “cart” … like they do at the airport. Snacks… nail clippers… ear buds… ?
