If one of your best pals is Enid, you are sure to get rubbed off on… well, except for Randie… her modus operandi is slug. Anyhow, the Art-o-Rama Mamas are gonna party.
Back to the Garden Gnomes. I read something about this in Better Gnomes and Gardens.
This would be the gnomes at the sliding glass window?
When I was doing a mini vacay down in Sandy Eggo… the ducks that lived at the hotel would greet us at the door. They were adorable.
That’s how friends get to be close friends: Meshing of skills and needs.
BOOM-DONE. *hehe* I like that.
My sister would alway say “Boom Done” when she was in college. She doesn’t say it much anymore… but I always liked it… It’s like saying to one’s self “Yah! DONE that… next?!”
Very nice color choices!
Aw, tanks.
Looks like my old apartment whenever a cloud passed over the sun. Everything turned a funky gray-blue! Thanks for the memory, I liked that place. And hey, Taco-Scrabble night? That’s an idea I’m gonna have to swipe. Randie doesn’t look so thrilled with Scrabble though…… I bet Ryan’d be up for it in a heartbeat if he were around? Loved the range of NVC (Non-Verbal Communication) going on in the middle panels! A very fun strip visually!
Ha.. isn’t that funny how we remember stuff like that. I had a skylight over my studio/bedroom in Sandoon City (Sand City) … it was kinda like an alarm clock… but the light was always strange in that place. It was a LONG narrow studio… but only had one real window at the front. There were two skylights… one in the kitchen at the back and one in my bedroom area. No sleeping in really… always light above your head.
Randie’s been CREAMED at Scrabbled by Ryan too many times to enjoy the game.
Glad you liked the Randie non-verbal… and by all means, steal taco-scrabble nite. When I lived in the strange-light studio, I would go to Judy’s for Thursday night Scrabble nite… I don’t think I ever won. Art imitating life.
For me, Scrabble was never so much about winning as about rising to the challenge and discovering etymology – especially en Francais!
Yes… It’s definitely challenging playing with the “word-y” people… and those who recognize that it is very much a game of math strategy… as well as well as a game of words.
What is this Trader Moe’s you speak of?
Ah… Trader Moe’s is a lampoon on Trader Joe’s, a popular and fun grocery store chain here in the U.S. It had interesting foods, many of which are from around the world. The prices are good and I wish there was one near me. The closest one is in Monterey about 20 miles from me.
You and Kitty and the gnomes…
gnomes… I didn’t take them for Scrabble players. They’d hide the letter tiles, for sure!
That’s a triple word score, and the word is ‘party!’
Party! We’ll see if Randie poo-poos the Scrabble game.
I was watching the start of the Tour of California today (Sunday) when it began in Sandy Eggo. I looked to see if Ryan was there – probably tied up at the beach, I suppose. He is there on business, after all.
UB… yah… He’s the sort of guy who’s disciplined enough to watch it in the highlights afterwards. ALTHOUGH … he’s writing a travel article… and so it is an event that could be covered in his work!
