Just Lucky

People say that they are often “Lucky” or “unlucky”… I don’t believe in luck, though. I do, however, believe in serendipity, the gift of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for.
I agree; no such thing as “luck”. It can be used to determine a coincidence, but that’s it. And I’ve noticed the optimistic and flexible a person is, the more “good luck” they have.
There is that Edna Mode quote ” Luck favors the prepared, Darling.”
I am a cynic by nature… I find I am ‘lucky’ more often than others because I plan ahead for the worst and thus when something bad happens it’s not bad luck, it’s something I’m ready for…. and when something good happens, it’s a pleasant surprise!
I had a friend who always said “Expect the worst, hope for the best, and be happy with what you get.”
No, guys, it’s the latest obnoxious thing. They’re left around, you pay for them, drive them wherever, and leave them for the next guy. Not sure how whoever owns them makes money at this.
There’s good and bad about them… when they are driven on the sidewalks, that’s bad… if they aren’t, it’s good… they get you to where you wanna go faster… but they are all over the place… on corners and stuff. But I don’t think it’s so terrible… and only a few have wound up in the river.
I believe the definition of luck is, “Random factors operated in your favor,” which is rather the same as serendipity.
Random is the key word there… What if it’s NOT random?
