The purpose of art is to take things from our mundane life and remind the world of all the imagination and wonder it holds. At least so I think this exact moment. Might change my mind later!
I have pictures of my Dad before I came along. It’s weird to see pictures like that. Some photos you get somehow and you go, how is this in my possession? Was this my Dad’s? Who took this? and why do I have it?
Very creative idea; the little “break” almost reminds me of those extra end-chapters in Watchmen that had newspaper clippings, book excerpts, etc. A little world-building in comics goes a long way.
Now didja think anyone would ever compare Randie to Rorschach? “Dog carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. All out of coffee.”
Some sketchbooks are more collaged than others… some of my books, like the new Rendr sketchbooks by Crescent, are more for marker art and are less glue-in and paste-y. I go through periods where I am one or the other… most of all of them have ink in them, and watercolor. Silly moody artists.

Dada… Thank you. I am newish to Watchmen. But I know what you are talking about… as I have thumbed through the graphic novel.
Now your second part perplexes me. Also from Watchmen?
Sketch book? More like an amazing scrapbook. Your scrapbooks must be amazing.
