They were never meant to be a couple. In fact, I suspect that they must be long-lost twins. I’m not really trying to build a case for that, but look at that last panel of them side by side. I suspect that their parents stole them from the Gypsies!
yah… UB… they have a lot of things in common… a love of writing… and tenacious spirit… they are both doers. But sometimes there’s just a few things that keep them from being able to BE together. Maybe it’s that tenaciousness and focus on their own projects that disallows them to focus on togetherness. That was certainly the case in London.
Many of my past New Year’s Resolutions have been to increase my vocabulary. When I created Ryan a million years ago, it was certainly a goal and I was using Ryan to help.

I would have thought Obstinate, but Obdurate is a great word, and a little less common – great choice!
