Improv Shopping
Dec15
Actually, doing all your Christmas shopping in one place is a sure way to keep your sanity… no running between stores and instead of many lines to wait in… you only have one. I guess you could call that “Randie’s Christmas Shopping Tip #1″… Do all your Christmas shopping in a coffee shop, all at once.
*and WHAT’s in an Irish coffee?
Here’s a few Christmas gifting toons of the past:

One can hope she remembers who gets decaf…
… the grinches get the decaf.
(I must be a grinch, because I drink half-caff… does that make me a little grinch-y?)
*hehe* Yeah, but Randie unknowingly, accidentally made Ryan wait. And HE didn’t know he was waiting, though he was the first to realize it. (I’ll never forget that look on his face when it hit him.)
But Randie is absolutely right: Wait for it.
Yah… I think they both had the answer right in front of them the whole time! Clueless people… not knowing they’re in love. Sometimes, that is best… you know what you’re getting into.
I love the snow falling! That is totally coolness!
Kinda neat, eh? All it took was to check a box in WordPress… so I cannot take gobs of credit for the coolness… but I dig the effect, too! And with the rain in the comic … it’s what they call “Winter mix” … rain and snow.
(by the way, if you are reading this in not-winter, there’s drifting snow over the strip)…
Shopping: the bane of my existence. The nearest place TO shop is a two hour drive away, and I don’t drive.
I do my christmas shopping starting in March.
Oh, that is a drag. Is there no Amazon Canada? Shopping online keeps me sane!
I have limited my shopping time with others for sanity purposes. I have adopted shopping locally… Salinas has an Oldtown-Main Street shopping area which is conveniently located… well, I work in Oldtown… so win-win. And, if I need to find something at a mall, I go to the nice outdoor mall in Monterey… ONCE. I do the madness ONCE. Amazon, Harry & David fill in the rest.
Delivery up this far tends to get costly and I work lousy jobs. It’s a bad mix. But hey, shopping through the year lets me take my time anyways! Also love the snow effect on the site, nice touch!
Yep, doesn’t matter how old you get, the hint that there’s something special just waiting for you gets one giddy. In that respect, we never seem to grow up. I almost accidentally saw what Jan had gotten me for Christmas/B-day, she had to distract me as quickly as possible. 🙂
