The thing about “new” is that it’s outside your comfort zone. Randie loves her comfort zone more than most. But once she’s thinks not in terms of leaving her comfort zone but instead taking something into her comfort zone (Portland move), it’ll be easier for her.
Yes, perhaps like the old monster movie, “The Blob”… I’m picturing The Blob as Randie’s comfort zone… and it “usurps” things in its path… and expands as a result. (Forgive me, I’ve had “monster brain” lately doing the research for the next Art-o-rama zine issue).
*lol!* If you’re looking into monster research in the future, “The Blob” was filmed only about 6 miles from our house. Phoenixville celebrates Blobfest for an entire weekend in July. Street fairs, music, food, art, and of course the Run Out on Friday night, recreating the scene in the movie, from the exact same theater! Also, tons of showings of The Blob and other “B” horror classics. And the original Blob itself is there on display!
OMG! BlobFEST! No WAY! This is so fascinating! What fun! What silliness! What a great idea for community. I can’t help but think that it would be even more funner if it were in October sometime. But that’s just me. Thanks for sharing this fun tidbit.
RN… thank you! I am hoping that Portland will be the PLACE (my Place) where art dreams come true! I have embraced Portland as a muse. There is so much art happening here. I feel more alive here… and like there aren’t enough hours in the day! Prolificness is a goal.
There are only two downsides to things: the ones everyone deals with every day, and the ones you put there yourself. Everything else is on the upswing.

Circles and Spirals are what get me through.
Me, too!
Randie may be of two minds about moving to Portland…but *you* seem to be more prolific since. Or so it seems.

That’s good. Embrace the good. (Try not to think of the incoming missiles from N. Korea.)
