I admit that the Legion of Gnomes reminds me of the Hammer March from Pink Floyd’s The Wall (The Movie) Which goes together in an odd way with your Coffee Cups of Evils (Do you take your coffee ‘Dark’?)
OOOOOooooooo, I like that “Do you take your coffee “dark”…? Can I use that as a title for the painted coffee cups (shown in the blog)…? BTW, I am calling them “Mug Shots… Coffee Cup Art”)
When you are used to sharing your daily happenings on a daily basis with someone, a week’s worth of stuff is a lot! Granted they had some video chat… but it’s not the same.
Thank you… I bet you remember the joy of REAL tacos made in California. I must tell you, the last time I was in San Diego, we went to a taco place near Seaport Village which was rather incredible.
So true! The “Mexican” food out here is hard to find. BUT possible. There’s a little place about a mile from our house where you can get excellent Mexican food. You just have to be able to know Spanish. Which, fortunately, I know enough of to be able to order wonderful meals. Complete with Coke-Cola “hecho en Mexico”, which is made with cane sugar. (Though some MexiCoke has the high fructose instead of cane sugar, only the cane sugar version in glass bottles is shipped to the US.)
Mexi-coke is a total thing. People advertise it here, and I do believe I saw it at Costco. They are the glass variety. So cane sugar, I guess. I have dropped soda (except with a rare Ginger Beer with cane sugar treat now and again… the sugar content is SO high!)… ANY hoo! Yah… we are doing lunch today at Michael’s in Oldtown today… fresh… family owned… delicious! I’m thinking bean burrito (my fave)… but the cheese enchilada I had last time was amazing. Hmmm … maybe even tacos? Now I can’t wait for lunch!!!!
I looked at Ryan’s image and all I could think of was that he was chilling out with a snooty koala that was dissatisfied with his margarita and tacos. Then I wondered what was wrong with the tacos. At no point until about two minutes later did I wonder what a koala would have to be snooty about with tacos since they don’t eat meat. My head runs down some weird roads sometimes…… And yet nothing odd about Randie’s image at all! An army of gnomes and traffic and not a single neuron went weird!
Also, Ella sounds overworked. She needs a vacation, clearly!
Ha! Snooty Koala. Yes, I imagine that the SD Zoo Koalas are a bit snotty. Waited on by Zoo-keepers… having their food brought to them and not having to forage in a tree… or do they? forage, in a real tree? hmmm… Well anyhow… there are potato tacos, but the veggie Koalas, I’m sure wouldn’t be interested. And why the heck would they be dissatisfied by margaritas???? Although, Koalas appear drunk even without the alcohol. And why am I capitalizing “koala”? No idea. Our brains ARE weird.
Actually I think I remember one of my friends telling me that koalas actually spend their lives completely stoned because of the eucalyptus they eat. Oh man, they’re those snooty stoner pushy vegetarians everyone dreads running into! That explains it!
PS: Potato tacos? I R curious……. are they any good?
Trev… The potato tacos are on the menu of my favorite Mexican place… I’ve not tried them… as I usually do the charred chicken…. maybe one day, I’ll be adventuresome.
Nice that everyone has color-coordinated visual commentary.
Yes… had to keep them visually apart. Ella’s contribution was an afterthought… but I’m glad I added it.

Oh yeah, the ‘dark coffee’ really suits those cups! Sorry to be slow getting back – the world went crazy around here lately.
Tacos, margaritas, and koalas…unpainted gnomes on the march…catfood, featherduster, and spider…looks like everybody had a full experience…

Comics without words are the best. Thanx Brig!
I like them, too, Yat. Sometimes coming up with text complicates things and a visual telling serves the moment or situation best.
Truly a cool comic. Reminds me of similar days, much enjoyed.

If I beat you to the punch I’ll let you know.
