When unpleasant now moments hijack happy then moments… They become examples of whatever you are feeling or an attitude you’ve developed. You’ve reclassified those memories. Now they make you feel bad. I hate that.

Quite the case of “buyer’s remorse”.
Randie still likes her hair… but there is that inner conflict of wanting something that might make someone else unhappy. Whose feelings are most important?
First, I love the silhouette and all the facial expressions…well done! Second, Randie will understand (and Ryan too, I hope) that there might not be a limit of what you will do for those you love, there is a limit on who you can be for them. You have to let Randie be the pixie person she is. If Ryan doesn’t get that, he doesn’t deserve her.
So there.
Hear, hear! Ryan’s her husband, not her dad! He should know that hair grows and colors fade. Blue isn’t forever. Neither are his frequent business trips without Randie.
“who you can be”… nicely put, Judy. Yes, I think Ryan knew what he was getting when he signed the marriage certificate.
Blue isn’t forever… I like the double-ness of that statement, EofO.
Whoops… Beware the back story. The waters of emotion… there be a wicked sea a-brewin’. (And I don’t mean coffee.)
Ah, coffee… mmm.
Backstories are fun. I find it interesting to find out WHAT makes people like they are. What happened that made so and so passionately hate marshmallows or string cheese or gnomes…? I love that un-peeling the onion thing.
Excellent build up of a dilemma! First frame is especially poignant. Can’t wait to see how this plays out.
Thank you, scruffy…I hope that the extended story remains interesting. It’s hard to know when things go on too long.
Randie is really a very good person. Just slow to understand something she knew from the first.
She’s also a bit impulsive. Slightly selfish at times. But she is a good person.
Temporary change is energizing and good for you. This is why vacations feel so good.
Agreed. I am just back from a week away from normal. I feel like it jumpstarted things.
Beautiful background work, Brig!
Thank you, Dada.
