Trying to remember how soon after a conclusion that a person is allowed to rest – I get the impression that you checked into these things first. I’ve been wondering how long Randie would be having symptoms. The next question – how soon can a plastic surgeon do something with Randie’s nose?
Actually, the matter came up earlier today about computer concussions. A friend of mine who is an expert in AI is helping me solve the software problems involved in teaching an iPhone to read sign language and translate it to spoken English. He sent me an app that causes a phone to behave as if it had a concussion – memory loss, periods of amnesia and a tendency to fall asleep for no reason. He thought it was hilarious because that was not the intended function – it was running my latest non-linear algorithms!
UB… see the comments under Pete below. I have a real life story this is based on. And her nose seems like small potatoes now. Oh, she bumped it after the initial “thunk” for sure.
iPhone concussions? That would kinda be funny if after you drop your iPhone it would tell you things like “ouch, that hurt” or “butter-fingers…now I have a concussion.” hahahaha.
I was really just joking about her nose, although I was thinking about a real-life case. The mother of someone I know had a fall and had a very high break in her nose that they chose to ignore as the least of her problems. What they didn’t know was that bone fragments from her nose had been pushed up into her skull, opening a crack from her sinus’ into her brain resulting in an insanely nasty infection, but those symptoms were originally mistaken for the effects of a concussion. They finally had to put her into a medically-induced coma for five weeks while they fought the infection. It was an incredibly unlikely chance, but still.
And I’m not sure that I accidentally gave an iPhone a concussion as much as I turned it into a fainting goat.
The light in the scene is playing tricks on Randie’s hair… you’ll see some things in upcoming toons… While I haven’t made any changes to her hair (consciously)… I will note that Randie isn’t always on top of things… perhaps she needs some blonde roots in the near future… thanks, Patjade…you’ve added another layer to the upcoming burgeoning story. Smiles.
No, it probably isn’t. This is based on Judy’s story of having had a concussion as a teenager . She was involved in a car accident and she hit the windshield while passengering. She went home, as she tells it, and slept for days.
The general sense of confusion after lost time is not something I envy anyone. Also, once again, I’m wondering: Is there some mysterious Kitty power at work that allows we, the readers, to be seen?!

In my debate club, a person is allowed to rest immediately after his conclusion. After a concussion, I’m not sure…
The conclusion of it being a concussion was based upon a contusion.
On a side note, I see Randie’s hair color is gradually coming back over the last couple of months. Mostly as lighter highlights as the dye fades.

And let’s hope the last thing she remembers wasn’t a dream. Then again, maybe it’d be better if it was.
Dreams are funny things. Wink.
For DAYS?? That’s not good. Not good at all.

Ah, she’s awake! *Celebration!*
