Yes… The SFMOMA purchased Louise Bourgeois’ “Nest” in 1998. It lives, or lived, as I believe, in the museum cafe area. I, myself, think this is a terrible idea!
Gah! I’d forgotten all about him. Let’s hope the time between Squid Row and R&R had him grow up some. Though he’s clearly still lousy with names. (And listening long enough to LEARN names.)
So, is it just not hip to smile in an art crowd or something? I’ve been examining the background characters and the ones that don’t look like they’re stuck mingling with people they don’t like look like they’re stoned out of their minds! Other than Randie, Spill, and Max, the one major exception seems to be panel one, WAY over on the far right…… THAT guy’s having a blast! I’d want to be that guy at a major art event.
Hip people are too cool to smile and have a good time… except for “Fun Jen” in panel 3… she’s smiling! Minglers… ought to be happy… unless they meet up with “that guy” who won’t shut up.

Her full name is Randall?
Nope. Max is so self-absorbed he never remembers anyone’s name.
It is true, Randie is often miffed by his not getting her name right. But thankfully, Max hasn’t lived next door to Randie in years.
Blast from the past!! Well, how fun for “Randall”! LOL
Yes, oh-yes! The fun! Nothing like spoiling a perfectly good appetite with the likes of ol’ Maximillian!

Yes… Maximillian the painter… self-absorbed energy vampire has returned for a little cameo! What good fortune!
Why put giant spiders next to the food? More leftovers for the staff, of course! As for Max well….. I like the outfit, actually!
That could be a strategy… it certainly would kill MY appetite !!!
